The 384-page coffee table book Images of Fishermen: The North Atlantic, published by our sister company GlobalOne Press, is a photographic feast highlighting Greenland, Iceland, Faroe, and Shetland fisheries. In more than 200 powerful pictures, taken by photographer Maria Olsen, herring, whitefish and shrimp fisheries are featured in what could be the first title ever to cover this subject in-depth through photography. The book also contains an authoritative treatise written by the world-renowned fisheries adviser Menakhem Ben-Yami on contemporary fisheries management issues, first and foremost related to the special case of Faroe. The book is introduced with a brief overview of the great fishing traditions of the four tiny North Atlantic island communities, written by Búi Tyril.
